The White Box was a personal project by ACA Creative Director Khaled Almoayyed. It was displayed at Anamil art gallery in Bahrain, and acted as both a social commentary on food waste and a Ramadan charity project that resulted in food being donated to over 100 needy families.
The concept revolved around participants bringing with them leftover food from home. As an experiment in capturing photos at high speed, the food was thrown at them to create explosive visuals which were printed onto large canvases. In addition the entire process was captured as a stop motion video. The project was featured in local newspapers, magazines, and social media.
